From the misty coves of the Ozarks to the neon-lit vacancy signs of Highway 65, the collection balances gritty storytelling with intimate reflection. It explores the weight of secrets in "White Lies" and the dangerous undercurrents of desperate choices in "Ozark Alibi," while finding delicate light in tracks like "Fireflies," which chronicles the bittersweet glow of a summer love.
Throughout the record, I trace the different versions of who I’ve been—from the girl fumbling through guitar chords in her bedroom in ’92 to the woman seeing those same dreams reflected in her children’s eyes. Roots & Revival is an invitation to embrace the whole drive: the highs, the lows, and the winding detours in between. It is a record for the weary traveler in search of rest, and a reminder that no matter how far we roam, our roots will always ground us—and it is never too late for a revival.
Lindsey Wood is a St. Louis-based singer-songwriter crafting a genre-bending sound. With a voice that is both smooth and soulful, Lindsey weaves the raw edges of Americana, Blues, and Country with flirtations of Rock and Pop. Her live performances include a unique mix of crowd-favorite cover songs - spanning decades and genres - seamlessly blended with original tunes.
A lifelong musician, Lindsey began her journey on the guitar at age ten, with a passion for writing songs and performing. Today, she is a multi-instrumentalist and self-produced artist. Her go-to instrument will always be her acoustic Gibson Southern Jumbo, with her Tele and Les Paul in the wings. When writer's block strikes, she'll head to the piano or pick up a mandolin. Her lyrics are genuine, playful, and laced with a touch of the dramatic—with stories that resonate with listeners from all walks of life.
In addition to a steady schedule of solo and duo performances across the St. Louis and St. Charles regions, she's also scheduled to release her debut full length album, Roots & Revival, on October 1st as a follow up to her Catahoula Club EP (2024).
